Welcome to St Louis
Welcome to St Louis

The cold and windy city of St. Louis once again hosts the annual National Training Conference, NTRAIN. The theme of this year’s conference and workshops is "Discover, Learn & Lead." The training conference lends great opportunity for Departments to conduct specialized training, in the form of "C" schools.

One such school, AUX-05, the Rear Commodore and Deputy Department Chief Academy, is discussed in a separate article.

Running concurrently was the other offered "C" school, AUX-15, Air Coordinator Training. This workshop, attended by 20 Auxiliary aviators from around the country, focused on flight safety and coordination with Coast Guard controllers. Lectures were presented and the facilitators offered an opportunity for roundtable discussion.

"Safety is our number one issue and purpose for this meeting," said instructor Don Zinner, Auxiliarist from Islamorada, FL..
