NACON 2004

A National Conference like NACON 2004 requires tremendous planning and precise execution. The type of exact planning that allows for and accommodates glitches along the way yet allows the meetings and events to flow seamlessly.

Our NACON 2004 conference staff is composed of National staffers and local Auxiliarists, all top shelf professionals. As one of the staffers said, “We plan and then we plan some more. Then we let this baby run until we hear a clunk, and then we go fix it, and let it run some more. Somehow we make it through the conference unscathed and with all of our faculties intact.”

“The amazing thing is that our staff keeps coming back for more, year after year, an amazing group of Auxiliarists,” said Tish Helmer.

“They don’t realize when they enter a meeting room that we were here, hours ago, setting it up. And that is the way it should be,” said staffer Celeste Penny.

This year’s conference staff (National) is composed of: Phil, Trish and Karen Helmer, John and Lenore Combs, Celeste Penny, Bob and Dee Hendricks, Bob Mays, Don and Pat Smutz, Ann and Fred Beecher.

Providing considerable support are more than 25 Auxiliarists from local Flotillas. Leading this effort are Bill Davidson, Captain of Division 15 and Dale Zimmerman, Captain of Division 2. The local Auxiliarists are manning the registration and information booths and providing considerable logistic support.
